The Carson City Sheriff’s Office and the Carson City Chamber of Commerce are establishing a Community Business Crime Prevention Coalition starting in 2025. This coalition will allow local businesses to partner with the Sheriff’s Office for crime trend sharing, training, communication, and crime prevention.

 

The coalition is soliciting participation from loss prevention, asset protection, safety, and management personnel or ownership from the following types of businesses within Carson City:

•Retail establishments

•Supermarkets

•Car dealerships

•Banks

•Convenience stores

•Hotels/motels

•Bars/taverns

•Restaurants

•Pawn Shops/Salvage Facilities

•Auto Service/Repair Centers

•Casinos

•Apartment complex management

•Homeowners Associations (board members)

 

There will be no costs to participating businesses or other commitments required. The Sheriff’s Office will host meetings several times annually, where coalition members will be invited to participate in information sharing, discussions, and training.
